Back to the Future the Musical further extends West End run

Back to the Future the Musical has further extended its run at London’s Adelphi Theatre until the winter this year.

The show, which first opened at the theatre in September 2021, announced it is booking for performances until December 22, on the day it celebrates its 1,000th performance in the West End.

Based on the 1985 science-fiction comedy film starring Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd, Back to the Future the Musical follows teenager Marty McFly and his friend Doc Brown as they travel through time in a converted DeLorean automobile.

The musical opened on Broadway on August 3 last year, with plans for it to roll out internationally including a North American tour beginning in June and a Japanese production in 2025.

Its London show currently stars Cory English as Doctor Emmett Brown and Ben Joyce as Marty McFly.

It is produced by Colin Ingram and the original film’s writer and director Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis, and has a book by Gale, a score by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, and direction from John Rando.
